Reading Delta Without Wishful Thinking

A calm checklist for when cumulative delta divergence deserves attention versus when it is only decoration.

Delta divergence looks like foresight. Price makes a new extreme; cumulative delta refuses to confirm. Traders often treat the mismatch as an imminent reversal.

Useful divergence sits on structure you already respect, appears on a timeframe that matches your holding period, and coincides with absorption or failed continuation on the footprint.

Decorative divergence appears on every wiggle, fights the higher-timeframe trend, or arrives after the market has already rotated. Marking every mismatch trains the eye to see prophecy everywhere.

In Order Flow Basics Lab we label divergence as observation first. Trade plans come later, only when volume and structure agree.
